GARMENT MAKING (Clothing construction for intermediate sewists)
This comprehensive course is for intermediate-level sewists who have been introduced to sewing but are inexperienced in garment making. Participants are guided through the process—learning to sew clothes from start to a finished garment. The skills and techniques learned in class will help participants engage creativity to transform their closet to represent their unique style while discovering the joy of sewing their own clothes from scratch.
The course is about using a pattern to construct a garment—pattern selection, reading, layout and cutting; Decoding pattern markings, symbols and instructions booklet; Fabric selection–textures and quantity; and sewing notions and garment accessories, and various stitching options.
